Our client, a leading organization specializing in integrated supply chain solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate to join their dynamic team in Smyrna, Tennessee. This is an onsite position offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where precision, efficiency, and teamwork are essential. The role begins May 31, 2027, and is a twelve-month contract position. We are looking for motivated individuals with warehouse experience who are ready to contribute to a well-organized supply chain operation.
Core Responsibilities
The Warehouse Associate will perform essential functions that support our client's integrated supply operations. Key responsibilities include receiving, processing, and organizing incoming shipments with accuracy and speed. You will verify inventory against documentation, scan items into the warehouse management system, and ensure proper storage in designated locations. Throughout your shift, you will pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and company standards.
You will maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and report discrepancies to supervisors immediately. Organizing and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety is crucial, including properly stacking merchandise, removing debris, and ensuring aisles remain clear. You will operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaboration is fundamental to this role. You will work closely with warehouse team members to meet daily productivity targets and shipping deadlines. Communication with supervisors regarding workflow issues, equipment maintenance needs, or safety concerns is essential. Additionally, you may assist with basic data entry tasks, label printing, and documentation as needed to support warehouse operations.
Must-Have Requirements
Candidates must have proven warehouse experience, demonstrating competency in fundamental warehouse operations and material handling. You should possess strong attention to detail, capable of maintaining accuracy while working at a steady pace. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely are essential.
Physical capability is necessary for this role, as you will stand for extended periods, lift items up to fifty pounds regularly, and perform repetitive motions. You must be comfortable working in a climate-controlled warehouse environment and be able to navigate elevated work platforms or equipment safely. Availability to work onsite full-time in Smyrna, Tennessee is required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems are advantageous. You should demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality. Forklift certification or the willingness to obtain certification is valuable. Most importantly, you must prioritize workplace safety and maintain a positive attitude toward following established protocols and procedures.
