Core Responsibilities
As an Interventional Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will assist physicians during fluoroscopic-guided interventions, managing imaging equipment and monitoring patient vital signs throughout procedures. You will maintain comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety protocols and consistently implement protective measures for yourself, colleagues, and patients. Your technical skills will be utilized in performing quality assurance checks on imaging equipment and troubleshooting technical issues that may arise. Additionally, you will collaborate seamlessly with the interventional radiology team, including radiologists, nurses, and support staff, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient care. Must-Have Requirements
Candidates must possess a current Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification or equivalent credential recognized by the state of Ohio. Minimum two years of hands-on experience in interventional radiology is required; this specialized experience is crucial for success in this role. You must demonstrate proficiency in fluoroscopic imaging techniques and possess a thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential, as you will manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a demanding clinical environment.
