Core Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely using linear accelerators and other advanced therapeutic equipment
  • Position patients correctly and consistently according to established treatment plans developed by the oncology care team
  • Operate and monitor treatment equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety throughout each session
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all treatment delivery and patient responses in the electronic medical record system
  • Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and expected experiences
  • Participate actively in quality assurance procedures, equipment checks, and ongoing safety protocols
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and physicists to review and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Identify and report any deviations from the prescribed treatment plan to the supervising physician immediately
  • Assist with patient education regarding treatment preparation, side effect management, and follow-up care requirements

Must-Have Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted Radiation Therapist certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Idaho as required by applicable regulations
  • Minimum of one year of clinical radiation therapy experience in an accredited healthcare setting
  • Proficiency operating linear accelerators and related treatment delivery systems
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles, protocols, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to position patients accurately and maintain reproducible treatment setups
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support patients during a vulnerable time
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start date
