Location: Los Angeles, California
Salary Range: $25 – $25 per hour
Position Summary
A leading retail organization is seeking a dynamic and passionate Retail Sales Education Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles, California. This is a field-based contract position with a start date of November 30, 2026, running for six months. In this role, you will serve as a brand ambassador and educator, working directly with retail partners and consumers to drive product knowledge, engagement, and sales performance. Core Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Education Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Conducting engaging product demonstrations and training sessions at retail locations throughout the Los Angeles area, ensuring sales associates understand key product features, benefits, and selling points
  • Developing and delivering compelling educational content that resonates with both retail staff and end consumers, driving product awareness and purchase intent
  • Building strong relationships with retail partners, store managers, and sales associates to establish collaborative working relationships and gather valuable feedback
  • Analyzing sales data and consumer feedback to identify educational gaps and opportunities for improvement in training delivery and content
  • Creating and implementing point-of-sale materials, training collateral, and educational resources that support retail partners' sales objectives
  • Monitoring product placement and shelf conditions at assigned retail locations, ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards
  • Tracking and reporting on training completion rates, consumer interactions, and sales metrics to measure program effectiveness
  • Attending industry events, trade shows, and promotional activities as needed to represent the organization and expand market reach
  • Providing weekly and monthly reports documenting activities, challenges, successes, and recommendations for program optimization
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to align educational initiatives with broader organizational objectives and promotional campaigns

Must-Have Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Proven experience in retail sales, customer education, or brand ambassador roles within a fast-paced retail environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to quickly learn and retain detailed information about new products and services
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations, training sessions, or presentations to both retail staff and consumers
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple retail locations and maintain detailed records
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work field-based assignments throughout the Los Angeles area
  • Positive, energetic attitude with genuine enthusiasm for customer engagement and product education
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external retail partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in response to changing retail environments and consumer needs
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and ability to learn new software platforms for reporting and data management
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college education or relevant certifications preferred but not required
