A cardiovascular department in Waterbury, Connecticut is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cath Lab Technician to join their team on a temporary onsite basis. Core Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions
• Operate and maintain specialized cath lab equipment, including fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Prepare and organize procedural trays, supplies, and contrast materials prior to each case
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures, reporting any changes to the attending physician immediately
• Circulate and scrub during procedures as required, maintaining strict sterile technique at all times
• Document procedural data accurately and ensure proper completion of all required records
• Collaborate with nursing staff, radiologic technologists, and cardiologists to ensure seamless workflow and patient safety
• Assist in the training and orientation of new team members when applicable
• Maintain compliance with all infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum of one to two years of direct experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting
• Current RCIS certification or ARRT certification with cardiovascular or radiography credentials preferred
• Strong working knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and interventional procedures
• Ability to scrub and circulate for a full range of diagnostic and interventional cases
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring equipment and cath lab imaging systems
• BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start date
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including on-call rotations as required by the department
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient dignity and safety throughout all procedures
