Core Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions
- Operate and maintain specialized cath lab equipment, including fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Prepare and organize procedural trays, supplies, and contrast materials prior to each case
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures, reporting any changes to the attending physician immediately
- Circulate and scrub during procedures as required, maintaining strict sterile technique at all times
- Document procedural data accurately and ensure proper completion of all required records
- Collaborate with nursing staff, radiologic technologists, and cardiologists to ensure seamless workflow and patient safety
- Assist in the training and orientation of new team members when applicable
- Maintain compliance with all infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum of one to two years of direct experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting
- Current RCIS certification or ARRT certification with cardiovascular or radiography credentials preferred
- Strong working knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and interventional procedures
- Ability to scrub and circulate for a full range of diagnostic and interventional cases
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring equipment and cath lab imaging systems
- BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start date
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including on-call rotations as required by the department
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient dignity and safety throughout all procedures
