Core Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care
- Support mobility needs including transferring, repositioning, and accompanying clients on walks
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and individual preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and general tidying of living spaces
- Monitor and document changes in client health status and report concerns to supervising clinical staff
- Administer medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed care routines
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social engagement during scheduled visits
- Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities and observations
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current Home Health Aide certification or Certified Nursing Assistant credential preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving, home health, or similar personal care role
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine empathy for clients
- Ability to lift and transfer clients weighing up to 50 pounds safely
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment
