Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex partnership tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accuracy, technical excellence, and timely delivery
- Review federal and state partnership tax returns, including Forms 1065 and related schedules
- Advise clients on partnership formations, restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and liquidations
- Analyze and interpret partnership agreements to identify tax implications and planning opportunities
- Provide technical guidance on Section 704(b) and 704(c) allocations, disguised sales, and guaranteed payments
- Supervise, mentor, and develop senior associates and managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on complex tax matters
- Collaborate with other service lines and specialists to deliver integrated solutions to clients
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and participation in networking events
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting partnership taxation and communicate relevant updates to clients and internal teams
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license required
- Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in partnership taxation within a public accounting firm
- Deep technical knowledge of Subchapter K and related Treasury regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to supervise and develop professional staff
- Experience with tax research tools such as BNA or Checkpoint
