Core Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mobile engineering equipment, including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and related mechanical infrastructure
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system failures in a timely and efficient manner
- Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs
- Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and work order documentation using applicable tracking systems
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures, including after-hours situations when required
- Collaborate with fellow engineers, supervisors, and facility managers to coordinate planned maintenance activities
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and site-specific policies at all times
- Support facility audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance reviews as needed
- Train and mentor junior engineering staff on equipment operations and best maintenance practices
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in facilities engineering or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating and maintaining boilers, HVAC systems, and other critical mechanical infrastructure
- Valid stationary engineer license or equivalent certification required at the appropriate grade level
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation technologies
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a systematic and detail-oriented approach to problem resolution
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and emergency on-call rotations as necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for accurate documentation and team coordination
- Physical ability to lift up to fifty pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces safely
